The human body.

There are 11 systems in the human body.

Circulatory System (or Cardiovascular System)

Digestive System

Endocrine System

Integumentary System

Lymphatic System (or Immune System)

Muscular System

Nervous System

Reproductive System

Respiratory System

Skeletal System

Urinary System (or Excretory System)

So far I’ve learnt about 3 of them

  • The Skeletal System

  • The Muscular System

  • The Digestive System

There are 206 bones in the human body and also there is more than 600 skeletal muscles. The biggest muscle in the human body is the glutes (bum)

The, second largest muscle in your body is the Latissimus Dorsi  as well as the quads.

Moving on to the digestive system. Starts off with chewing and whilst you are chewing the saliva brakes the food even more, then you  swallow you food down the oesophagus (food pipe) moving in to the stomach.

Where acids and enzymes breaks  down the food even more. Once the particles reach the small intestine lots of juices from the liver and the pancreas helps break down those particles even more. The liver secrete bile which helps break down food, and the pancreas releases other enzymes to help

Digest all kinds of food particles, then the small intestine absorbs them and transfers them to our body through

blood. The particles that are not absorbed by small intestine reach the large intestine and the large intestine absorbs all the water and other particles and sends the waste out of the body through the bum (anus).

I have been drawing life size images of each system and layering upon each other using tracing paper and labelling them.
